Praise Yahweh!
My name is Evangelist Robert Lamb and I am so happy to introduce you to Way of the Word Ministries. Preaching and teaching the word of Yahweh without compromise or apology.
I have been associated with several denominations as well as other Christian organizations, and three things that I can say they all have in common.
1. They love the Lord.
2. They dedicate many hours of study and work.
3. They all have false doctrine.
Most Christians, if they study the word at all, study books about the Bible; such as Study Bibles, Commentaries, & Study Guides. Although these things can be helpful, they really should be more of a secondary thing rather than a start. Why? I am so glad you asked.
When we become born again, it is usually in a church, where we are taught what that church, denomination, or organization believes. So, when we read and study the Bible, we start out with preconceived theological ideas in our heads. And, until we get past these ideas, there are many things we will never learn, because we will only see what we are looking for rather than what God is trying to show us in His Word. When we come to these particular scriptures that either we do not understand or that seem to contradict what we believe, it is then that we reach for these other "so called" helps.
| Jhn 16:13 | Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, [that] shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come. |
Yashua tells us that if we have the Holy Spirit, He will guide us in how much truth? ALL TRUTH! We need to get away from preconceived ideas of what to believe, and understand that we all are wrong at times. Instead of reading what we believe into the Word, we need to beleive what we read from the Word.
My prayer is that we can grow together in the Word, and share the understanding that Yahweh gives us. But, the Word MUST be the standard. Over and above anyone else's books, experiences, or past teachings. In order to grow, we must be willing to let go of those things that are not in the Word and be willing to move to those things that are.
